---A Different Kind of Footballer---

ASD Cape Town is dedicated to helping young footballers achieve their potential -

sourcing, developing and placing into the local, national and worldwide professional game.

"I know and believe I'm not the only one from ASD who will put on a Bafana jersey. The boys are quality and I believe ASD will give them good opportunities in Europe as they did me."

-Ayanda Patosi, ASD 08-11, Lokeren and SA

"I really hope my move will open more doors for ASD players in the MLS, because ASD has not only made me the player I am today, but also the character I am both on and off the field."

-Ethan Sampson, ASD 08-12, Vancouver White Caps

"ASD is a great development team that takes rough diamonds and polishes them to near perfection.  I've learnt so much..."
- Devon Saal, ASD 08-12, Milano, SA

"I will never forget what ASD have done for me.  I give credit to ASD for helping me secure my ASD dream and still consider myself a member of the ASD family."

-Sive Pekezela, ASD 2008-2011, Gefle IF, Sweden

Vasco Da Gama 0 Under19s 1

Playing in very poor conditions including mud, poor lighting and poor field markings, the Under19s managed to secure a hard fought and well deserved 0-1 win against a very physical Vasco team. The scholars showed good technical discipline, sticking to the Cape United philosophy despite conditions.

After a sweeping move out of defence, Lindani Ntamo received the ball in the 6 yard box, turned and slotted the ball home for a half time lead. Vasco upped their game in the second half and came close to securing an equaliser. Although penetrating the Vasco defence on numerous occasions in the second half, our boys struggled to find that finishing touch to seal the game and bravely hung on for a deserved 0-1 win.
